My name is Lovietta Batts-Herring, the granddaughter of Original Montford Point Marine Master Sergeant Adner Batts, Jr., and I am a lifetime member of NMPMA Chapter #10 Lejeune Auxiliary. I am honored to be running for the National Montford Point Marine Association, Inc. (NMPMA) Queen for 2021.
The NMPMA is a nonprofit Veteran's organization, established to perpetuate the legacy of the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps between 26 August 1942 - 9 September 1949, at Montford Point Camp, New River, North Carolina. The membership consists of both active duty and veterans from all branches of services.
The NMPMA is currently having their 2021 Queen’s Contest Fundraiser in which proceeds will support Scholarships & Veterans Programs Funds. We really need your support this year and all monetary tax-deductible donations will be accepted.
