Producing a show is a rewarding labor of love, but it’s also expensive! Who knew? I mean, I knew it took some money, I didn’t realize it was going to take more. It takes blood and sweat and tears as well, but money too.

Because I want to make this show easily accessible to the public, ticket prices are very reasonable (only $10!), but to transform our unconventional venue into a theatre; compensate artists, designers, and technicians for their valuable time; pay licensing fees, rent equipment – well you get it - ticket prices alone won’t to cover it.

So... please consider supporting some new, exciting live theatre in Nashville by donating to Love Song. Nashville is full of amazing artists and has some great theatre companies, but there’s not a lot of small, “storefront” type theatre here. Yet. With your help, we can change that!

Now here’s some info about the show and the space:

When I read Love Song I knew I had to do it. The story is, quite simply, lovely. The characters and relationships rang true in their complexity. So, I applied for the rights and started asking people to be a part of the team. And the best part is that people said yes! There is an incredible team of people working on this show - I still pinch myself.

In my frustrated pursuit to find affordable performance and rehearsal space I asked a friend if she might have "an in" somewhere and it turns out she did. A whole building, in fact! It's a former church in East Nashville and it is a perfect space for this play, but we need to make it a theater!

So that's where you come in.

The goal is $2,000 which means we break even and most importantly, we will be able to split the tickets sales among the people creating this show. And they deserve more than just ticket sale money! (But that's a whole other campaign/issue!)
