Mindy and Bryan Louviere have had non stop health traumas the last six years and seriously need your help.
In 2012, three weeks before their wedding Mindy suffered an Ischemic stroke. She partially recovered enough to walk down the aisle, but had ongoing complications and was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder in 2013, as well as Lupus.
Bryan suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2017. He had no short or long term disability and was not able to work for several months. Bryan is now back to work with USPS 3 days a week in Denver, an hour commute from their farm in Pine, Colorado.
Mindy has been on long term disability since 2014.
And now Mindy was just diagnosed in January of 2018 with breast cancer. She has more painful biopsies coming up, a sentinel lymph node study, then six cycles of chemotherapy for eighteen weeks total, possible radiation, mastectomy and reconstruction.
This outgoing couple faces life with spirit, love, compassion and fierceness, but still needs help. They live on a farm that has four mules, two sheep, two goats (who are pregnant), rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, barn cats, two dogs and an indoor cat. They need financial assistance to get through another hard year. They truly need help with the following: animal care, farm projects and chores like chopping and stacking wood, help with meals, housekeeping, and garden work. They have two car payments to make each month, and an average of $500 in medications per month.
Mindy is to start chemotherapy after her chemo port placement on Monday Feb 12th. Then she'll do chemotherapy once every three weeks for 6 weeks, then depending on how that goes with her connective tissue disorder, she will need a lumpectomy or mastectomy, then reconstruction.
