Thank you for taking a moment to read about this amazing family: Patrick, Allison, and Oliver. They are a loving family of many talents. Oliver is a natural comedic actor whose laughter is absolutely inspiring. Patrick is a master carpenter whose talents extend into culinary arts and the limitless world of photography. He and Allison, who is a painter, photographer, designer, student and fellow teacher at UNC School of Art, together created Sugarwater Photography. This dear family's struggle began in mid-2016 when Patrick was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Since then life has been a bravely fought uphill battle. Countless frightening trips to the hospital, balancing the everyday necessities of life's finances and focusing on the future all while preserving Oliver's childhood have been a demanding adventure. A weight that some may have succumbed to but this sweet family has persevered. They have courageously fought a good fight. Now they urgently need our help more than ever. They have a long way to go yet before the clouds lift and I ask you deeply and sincerely to help ease the burdens they face. The staggering medical bills are but a fraction of their worries when they look towards the future to come. Theirs is future filled with hope and ongoing joys and laughter.
