Love for Lymphoma

Donation protected
Meet Melanie. She is like a sister to me. She has recently been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Her journey really began in April 2017. She just felt something wasn’t right. She went to multiple doctors but all her test came back normal.  She continued on with her daily life but really felt worse and other symptoms slowly appeared to come and go. While traveling to Florida to attend a wedding and have a vacation, she began to have swelling in her face, neck, and arms. The first thought was she was having an allergic reaction to her antibiotics she had recently started taking after being diagnosed with laryngitis/sinus issues. She took Benadryl to see if that would help; however, the next day the swelling was worse. She went to the closest ER where they found a mass in her chest that was restricting blood flow. She was then transferred to another hospital and placed in the ICU.  On November 1, 2017 Mel found out she had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma after a biopsy was done on the mass.  Mel had to immediately begin aggressive chemotherapy. She was given a continuous infusion of chemo for 5 days. She spent 10 days in Florida before she was able to come home and be seen by an oncologist here in Georgia. She is now home and continuing her treatment here.

Mel is a vibrant young lady with a positive attitude. She knows The Lord will not put anything in front of her that she cannot overcome.  She is accepting, a great hula hoop girl and loves her pets.

We are currently not sure how long treatment will be, or how long her insurance will last. Family and friends are doing everything they can to help her fight this illness.

Cancer is expensive and not all treatments are covered by insurance. Melanie is not the type to ask for help but if you desire to help a friend in need, we hope you will consider a donation to her battle.

These funds will help Melanie pay for any scans, test, and treatment that she needs.

Whether you are able to give or not we ask for prayer to heal her body. Give her the strength to overcome this "bump in the road" and comfort her and her family as she goes through this process. Power of prayer is so strong.
