On July 20, 2013 at the young age of 3 and a half months, Baby Lou was diagnosed with Leukemia, the type being unknown. He was admitted to Phoenix Children's Hospital and testing began to narrow down the type of Leukemia it could be. July 21, 2013 he under went a bone marrow biopsy, and that's when the waiting game began to find out what type of Leukemia was attacking our sweet baby boy.On July 29, 2013 we were told he has JMML (Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia, a very rare form of pediatric Leukemia which is only found in 1% of pediatric Leukemia patients. This type can only be treated by bone marrow transplant and not chemo. Chemo will be given but it will strictly be used to regulate his disease and not actually cure it.
We thank you so much for your donations which will help with medical bills, medications, co pays and other bills related to trying to keep up with every day life while still somewhat working and taking care of our sweet baby boy. If anyone has any questions about Baby Lou and his illness, feel free to contact us.
