In 2015, Lauren was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After going through almost a year of chemotherapy, her doctors were optimistic about her battle and she resumed her normal lifestyle, enjoying time with her husband, family, friends and her beloved dog, Aella.
Over the next three years, she continued to get scans and tests to monitor her health. Her scans often came back inconclusive, making it difficult for the doctors to determine whether or not the cancer was still active.
In order to get a definitive answer, her doctors scheduled a biopsy which revealed a devastating diagnosis…the cancer had progressed. Lauren will now need to undergo intense bouts of chemotherapy followed by a rigorous stem cell transplant. She will have to spend an extended period of time in the hospital followed by several months of recovery at home.
Lauren means everything to our Nature’s Corner family. Her laugh can be heard throughout the entire store and her vibrant smile and positive attitude are contagious. She is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet and is a true inspiration to all of us. We are hoping to raise money to assist Lauren with her costly medical bills and everyday expenses throughout this incredibly hard time.
