Cindy Janssen

On Saturday evening, September 16, 2017, Cindy was involved in a two car accident. She is currently at Hennepin County Medical Center's (HCMC) SICU.

As a result, Cindy suffered a traumatic brain injury. At this time she is unresponsive; however, the doctors are optimistic that she will wake--it's just a matter of when. We are very thankful she has not suffered other serious injuries.

As of 9/20/17, there were no real changes to her condition and she is considered stable. They will continue to monitor the pressure and fluid around/in her brain.

The doctors indicated that this is going to be a long, slow recovery process. Unfortunately, there is not a lot we can do besides wait and pray; Cindy believes very strongly that what we think, will be. We ask that you lift her up in every type of positive thought and prayer.

Cindy has a large support system and many people praying for her to wake soon. There will be many of us at the hospital hearing updates at different times, so we will post as we know more, have updates, etc.

We know each of you is wondering how you can help Cindy and her family. They will reach out as they identify ways they need assistance, but again, for now, please lift her up. We all know Cindy lives her life fiercely and with her own Cindy flare--there is do doubt she will move through the recovery process with a strong mind, strong body, and courageous heart. ~  Mandi Hofstedt
