Love and Light for Wyatt

Wyatt Baladez is 6 months old, and was recently diagnosed with SMA, or Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a terminal genetic disease that affects muscle strength. Wyatt has Type I SMA, which is the most severe form of the disease. SMA causes low muscle tone, which makes it impossible for Wyatt to lift his head, sit up, crawl or walk. This muscle weakness also affects the muscles he uses to breathe and swallow, which he will also gradually lose the ability to do.
50% of infants with SMA Type I do not make it to their first birthday, and 80% do not make it to their second.

Take a moment to let that sink in and put yourself in his family's shoes.

I started this fund because I believe Wyatt's family shouldn't have to worry about how they are going to pay their bills.  They should just be allowed to enjoy the time they have with their little man.  Thank you so much for anything you can do to help the Baladez family through this difficult time. All funds will be used to pay Wyatt's medical bills and any expenses related to his illness.
