<div>We are here to ask for your support. In late January, our great friends' four-year-old daughter, Laurie, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Laurie's initial hospitalization included several blood transfusions, X-rays, surgery, spinal taps, chemo therapy, and this is just beginning. What we have learned is that leukemia is chaos. Pediatric cancer is a long fight!

<div>The intensity of her treatment over the next six to eight months will keep her close to home, as something as simple as the common cold could cause Laurie an extended hospital stay. Exposure is not the only concern. The side effects of her treatment are not easy on Laurie's tiny, four-year-old body.

<div>The hope is that she will be able to return to school and her classmates at Christ the King in late fall, while continuing her treatments, which means frequent chemo and additional spinal taps for the next two years.

<div>Like any another family, the Harts never anticipated such a challenge. Laurie's parents, Marnie and Reynolds, find themselves caught in the whirlwind of hospital visits, treatments, and the emotional turmoil that comes with watching their daughter battle this rare disease. Medical bills, work/life disruptions, and the daily costs of caring for a child with leukemia can add up over the months and years of this battle with pediatric cancer.

<div>While Marnie and Reynolds navigate this journey, we wish to ensure that they do not have to worry about the financial side of this battle. We want them to focus on their family and Laurie's health.
