Our friend Oscar Rivera requested temporary detail/deployment to Puerto Rico and will be leaving with the first VA team deployed to support San Juan VA medical center tomorrow night or Tuesday morning.
While the VA will cover his travel expenses, he is sure to encounter so much need during his deployment.
Because systems are down across the island, we hope to fill his pockets with cash before he leaves tomorrow (Monday, 9/25) so that he can do his best to address the many needs he will encounter during his deployment. Join us in sharing our love for our fellow Americans who are struggling in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
