We are here to share some love with Andrew, my brother, who gave up everything to care for our young 67 year-old, extremely fit and healthy, father through his unexpected terminal brain disease and ultimately his death (9/18.18). This is an opportunity to joyfully give a little and have it mean a lot ---See Update 1 for full story---
Tom and Andrew - Tom's last trip of his life to visit me in Hawaii before we moved to Syracuse, NY to help. Andrew had to accompany him because he couldn't fly solo anymore.
The joint bank account used by my father and Andrew for all expenses going through this process of the disease was frozen after his death. Andrew was not notified, it was just frozen and it was an awful feeling to know not only had he gone through this entire ordeal, but this was what he was left with at the end. Just felt so inhumane.
TERMS: We are asking for $5 or $10 givings ONLY.
Rather than give more we ask that you pass this on to 10 people that don't know us directly and ask them each to send it to 10 more people. Impact in numbers is real and a small contribution from many is so powerful and uplifting. We are humbled by this ask and are GRATEFUL TO ALL, regardless of money!
IT IS TIME TO CARE FOR THE PERSON WHO GAVE SO MUCH TO CARE FOR ANOTHER.
The bank issue will be resolved and that should lead to some remaining money from my father's social security and the last of my mother's retirement. And we are working on the details of the minimal life insurance to get to the point where there is the ability to bring in income (he departs for FAA Air Traffic Control training on 11/21/18). But, there is a larger issue that became clear instantly. Andrew sacrificed financial self-sustainability when he took on full time care for our father.
All money raised will go to erase debt and allow for healing, fruitful living (Andrew is spiritual, does not drink nor do drugs and eats a vegetarian diet).
We know there are big problems and challenges in this world. This is not one of them! This is an opportunity to spread a little love and support from a lot of people to one really magnificent person - Andrew. Thank you!
