In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Angel: Jacqueline Faye Gribaudo

This deadly Covid-19 virus outbreak has changed life as we all know it. I realize that, we are all emotionally and financially struggling during this relentless pandemic that continues to rage throughout California, our nation, and across the global world. Our beloved mother, Jacqueline Faye Gribaudo, lost her battle to the Covid-19 virus on New Years Day.
 
My name is Julz Chavez, and I am my mother’s daughter. I have set up this account for family, friends, and community contributions for our mother’s funeral costs.

Our mother’s story is a love story. Her love for her children, grandchildren, her family & friends and belief in a better world where love would prevail. Her care and love for this country, the world, and all of humanity. Her love for her care givers at her nursing home that she called home.

After sleepless nights while preparing for our mom’s private funeral, a dear friend encouraged me to create this page to help with the costs. I prayed and asked God for his guidance.  In prayer I was reminded that we have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others. I feel in my heart the only path through this time in history, is by helping each other heal through it. 

Only love is real. And, only love can heal. After we lay our beloved mom to rest on Friday, I will create a digital space for Covid-19 survivors and their loved ones. I will post my own healing journey and invite others to share their journeys as well.

You will learn when mom called to tell me that she had tested positive, I was exposed to the Covid-19 virus that very same day. We live 353 miles apart. 

I will share that our beautiful mother was surrounded by her daughter, grand daughter, and daughter-in-law outside her window and did not die alone. I will share why I was able to be in her room, to hold her close as she transitioned from her earthy body back to her heavenly body of light. I too am a Covid-19 survivor. My loving momma was not.

I pray we come together in love as a society. That we #LoveHeartForward and open our hearts to one another, to help lift each other up and heal during this time of sorrow and grief. Mom knew the heart is like a garden. It can grow compassion or fear, resentment or love. Mom quietly walked through her life with many tears, because she chose love. She will live in our memories and our hearts forever. 

All funds will go directly to Julz Chavez, the daughter of Jacqueline Gribaudo, to help with the unexpected end-of-life costs to include our mother's funeral expenses, travel costs, and for medical support for my own post Covid-19 long-haul recovery.
