For the Love of Chocolate

Experience chocolate in Boston on a whole nutha' level. We have the plans to make it happen. Pitch in and get some tasty rewards. You will never see these kinds of deals again!

Have you ever had a chocolate covered cricket? You don't HAVE to try one, but you can! Come on one of our tours throughout historical Boston and discover maple bacon chocolate bars, hand-dipped choco-potato chips, frosting shots, the benefits of using camels' milk and more.
We are life-long Bostonians and chocolate lovers. We have backgrounds in theater, education, marketing and start-ups. For the past year we've been working in offices for wonderful companies, but sitting at a desk just isn't for us. Catch our drift?

Every night we find ourselves indulging in chocolate because, well, it's amazing. Last winter we made fudge for the first time (see yummy snapshot below). Oh my chocolate, it was good!

Do we have you attention now? Great! Here's the deal. We are taking over Boston Chocolate Tours and Boston Chocolate School. Well, not just taking it over, but making it something you will not be able to resist.

What we need and what YOU get.We need $10,000 in capital to cover operations for the first month while we build up the business, plus some super awesome people (who you will totally want to thank later) have committed to helping us out.

We're doing this no matter how much we raise. Promise. If we don't reach our goal, you've still helped get a new business off the ground by funding our dreams and sharing our story with your friends! If we do raise our funds, we get to eat and keep the lights on while we're at it! Awesome, right?

Here's our promise to you.We will travel far and wide (throughout Greater Boston, of course) to find and cultivate new cacao-based experiences, track down tiny boutique chocolatiers based on a wisp of a rumor, and seek out high-profile experts to answer increasingly arcane questions, staying true to the heart of Boston Chocolate Tours and Boston Chocolate School.

How can someone really build a business on the love of chocolate? The best part is that we don't have to start from the beginning! Boston Chocolate Tours and Boston Chocolate School has been running and growing since 2009. That means you get to support something that will work.

Don't believe us? Here's what others have to say:
"Chocoholic or not, this tour is for you! Two and a half hours of bliss brought to you courtesy of Boston Chocolate Tours, and a little sprinkling of Boston history along the way." - Eat Your Tarte Out, 2012

"One of the best parts of my trip to Boston last November was the Boston Chocolate Tour I took of the South End of Boston. It was such a blast and I got to meet some cool people too. I love taking off the beaten track tours when I travel. It gives me a real flavour of the neighbourhoods and a grass roots take from its locals." - thirty four flavours, 2012

Our plans involve taking the experience (and love) of chocolate in Boston to a whole nutha' level. That means new tours, unique experiences you've never seen before, classes that combine your love of chocolate with other passions, festivals and other culinary adventures.

There are MANY ways to contribute because we have SO many fun rewards for you. Our rewards include chocolate tours, workshops and hand-crafted candy-themed apparel. Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect.

Show me the chocolate! Boston Chocolate Tour in Back Bay.

Classes nobody wants to cut! Boston Chocolate School.

Other Ways You Can HelpTell your friends!
- Share this campaign on Facebook and Twitter.
- Message us to get involved and we'll send you that fudge recipe. Here's a hint: it's made with Fluff!

*Estimate delivery times of services such as tours and workshops include delivery of gift certificate. Gift certificates are redeemable for future workshops and tours, based on availability.

Risks and challenges:

Some of our bigger (and most amazing) ideas will take time. We anticipate running into some snags with permits, etc. Relationships with chocolateirs, pop-up artisans, unique vendors and other culinary geniuses will also take time to cultivate.
