Love Formentos Staffers? Help Them Out!

We know by now that the shut-down of bars & restaurants is having and will have an enormous effect on one of the biggest industries in our community. Chicago, a vibrant metropolis in the US of A, is a mecca of new and reliable food & beverage. We have been (and will be this summer!) host to the "Oscars" of the restaurant industry, The James Beard Awards, and all of us who call this city home are lucky to take part in everything new and creative in the food world here.

The hourly staff at Formento's are a dedicated crew. They are a kind, hard-working, funny, bright group of humans. And many of them need the extra love right now. Restaurant work of our kind doesn't come with the same health benefits, investments, or general reliability that lots of professions do. Even so, many of us MUST work hospitality because it feels like it's written on our DNA. We love it. We live for it. But, we are still hourly employees. And this month, we don't have any hours to log.

If members of this staff have poured you a new cocktail in-the-works, or lingered at your romantic table for two on a busy Saturday night in the spirit of hospitable service; if you have hosted a special private dining event in the ballroom or boardroom and are thinking this week about how individual staffers went above and beyond for you... consider showing a little love. Bills will be paid, fridges will be filled. The staff as a whole sends you a virtual hug. You're the best.
