Love for the Strieder Family

On Wednesday, September 19th Jason and Sara lost their Hillsboro, MO home and their puppy, Lexie, to a devastating house fire. Thankfully, not one member of their family of 5 was in the fire and they were protected from harm. As of right now it is looking like their home will be condemned, but regardless, this sweet family will be displaced for quite awhile. Insurance has been kind and helpful, but these things take time, inspection, consideration, and much sifting to work out. In the meantime, there are many ways people who care for Strieder family can help. Supplying tangible needs, being in prayer, sharing memories, and giving financial aid or gift cards are some of the ways we can bless them even now.
This gofundme has been started to help offset some of the financial burden that being displaced creates. Jason and Sara have been put up in a hotel near Owen's school, but will likely see added fuel costs with trips to and from school, trips to their property in the coming weeks, and trips to and from family. They'll also inevitably have to eat out a bit more frequently and make smaller trips to the grocery store due to the lack of kitchen and pantry/storage space. It goes without saying that they'll be encountering needs we just aren't aware of yet, and this love gift can go a long way in helping them tend to those needs.

Above all else, please be in prayer for this precious family. Pray for them as they grieve the loss of their newest and fluffiest family member, Lexie. Pray for the boys as they wade through one of life's greatest traumas at an early age. Pray for Jason and Sara's marriage in the midst of the tornado of insurance claims, destruction, rebuilding discussions, and utter lack of normal. Pray for all 5 of them to feel the space to lament and cry out to the Lord, just as King David so frequently did, in pain and sadness and confusion. Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill them with a peace that we cannot comprehend. Praise the Lord for his mighty hand being over them. And I'm positive Jason and Sara would praise Him for the love of this tribe of people who have already and are seeking to love them beautifully through this trial.
