Love for the Nader family

Donation protected
On December 30th, 2021, Tony Nader was inexplicably torn from the fabric of our lives.

As our community suffers the shock, heartache, and disbelief of this tremendous loss, his family is now anguished by the immeasurable void of a father and brother that was stripped from them.

Tony is survived by his young daughters, Isabelle (10) and Charlotte (13); his wife, Dominic; his brother, Paul; and sisters, Michelle and Anita.

He was the epitome of a family man and his girls were the absolute centre of his universe. Every chance he would get to share a story about his family, he would burst with joy. You could always tell how proud he was to be a husband and father.

There is never a proper way to fully summarize a life, but it is said that a man is a product of all the people he has loved. No truer are those words than when it comes to how he lived his life.

Tony was the kind of person who made everyone feel like they were his close friend, always pursuing a life of integrity, instilling strong principles that protected others, and possessing a rare richness of character that always made you feel warm. He put effort and love into everything he set out to do, elevating anyone who was fortunate to spend time with him.

There is strength in his legacy that will endure the sorrow we all now feel.

Tony spread love in many ways but none better than when he had a guitar in his hands. A lifelong musician, he would capture any room when started to play and sing. His musical prowess was one of his defining characteristics. Deeply passionate about songwriting, he always embraced the opportunity to share his talents with others. Whether on a stage or in a kitchen, he always played his heart out.

For 25 years, Tony called Insight Optometry home and helped a small business grow into the large family it is today. He helped curate a culture of putting people first and brought humanity to an industry that is often considered cold and clinical.

He had the perfect balance of personality and professionalism. His skill as an optician was unparalleled and he only measured his success in the satisfaction of those he had the pleasure of working with.

He led every conversation with honesty, earnestness, and above all his purpose of helping others.

His expertise for exercising patience in difficult situations was renowned, showing that having patience is not just the ability to wait but how you act while you're waiting.

He was perpetually busy but never thought twice to offer an ear to listen or a hand to help, excelling in chaos.

He brought a calm and considered approach to complex issues and was a fierce businessman.

He was never interested in accolades or praise but, damn it, there was no one more deserving.

He simply believed that how he treated people is how everyone should treat each other.

Lastly, Tony carried his family on his shoulders. Being the major breadwinner, he worked tirelessly to ensure that they were not just taken care of but had the best conditions to grow, every opportunity to succeed, and the ability to always enjoy their time together.

The last thing his family should have to think about now is being able to afford the future he worked so hard to try to provide.

What we are left with is a single unified goal: to ensure his family isn’t left with only the scars and damage of this senseless tragedy. They need our help to heal, overcome, and eventually continue to live and thrive within his everlasting love.

Please share this for Tony with your friends and family, and if you are able to donate, know that it will go directly to supporting his girls, their education, and give them the future they deserve.
