Our sweet Teegan has suffered a stroke and will be facing brain surgery after the holidays. Mom and dad are with her at Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester.
Teegan, who is now 8 years old, was born with three rare neurological disorders, and the stroke was brought on from complications with the flu. She will be undergoing physical, occupational and speech therapy until her surgery, but we don't know what other challenges lie ahead for her.
The family will have travel expenses, medical bills, time off work and other unforeseen expenses. The stay in Boston for her surgery will be well over $2000 and that's just for hotel and gas.
Those of you who know her, know what a special soul she is. Her personality and outlook on life are so positive and she finds joy in the smallest kindnesses. Her sister, Haven has been so strong and such a great help.
The money donated will be deposited into an account that was specifically set up for Teegan with Mom and Dad having the only access. Mom and Dad want to thank you all for your outpouring of love and support. Any money that goes unused will be donated to help other families in need.
