Love for Taeden

As you may likely already know, sweet little Taeden Voorhees spent 3 weeks in the University of Iowa Children's Hospital after discovering that he had a brain tumor which required immediate surgery. The tumor was successfully removed after a 22-hour surgery. Taeden spent most of the next 3 weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) due to the very close monitoring the neurology team needed to do after his first surgery. During those 3 weeks in the PICU, Taeden had to have a number of MRIs and two additional surgeries. Thankfully, Taeden was discharged from the hospital last week and is now recovering at home in Ames, IA. (For lots more details, visit Taeden's CaringBridge page.)
Many of you have asked about tangible ways to show your love and support to Taeden and his family during this time. As you can imagine, there will be a huge amount of medical expenses, even with insurance. Those of us who know and love Taeden and his family have decided to create this site as a very practical way for those of you who may want to help out with the financial burden of these medical expenses.
