In case you haven't heard the news, Marcy left her body peacefully on Saturday afternoon (October 6, 2018). Her condition progressed faster than anticipated but she was surrounded by the immense love of family and friends. After Marcy silently took her last breath Scottie shared, "She did it her way."
This fund will be left open to help Scottie with the many costs throughout Marcy's long-term illness.
Our hearts go out to our beloved Marcy on her journey and remain full of love and support for our dear friend Scottie.

Dear friends,
As many of you know, Marcy has been dealing with ovarian cancer for the past nine years. The heavy toll that this has taken on her body, both the disease and the treatment, has made her life very difficult in recent months. She has had an amazing team of doctors and nurses who have been taking great care of her, as well as a loving team of angels, through Lotsa Helping Hands. These generous friends and family have been with Marcy while her loving wife Scottie Jeanette is working and doing necessary errands for her care.
Unfortunately, Marcy's physical state is weakening quickly. As of last week, Marcy officially joined the hospice program, which means her incredible care continues with the same great Nurse Caseworker, the same hospital bed in the living room, and the same radiant Marcy with so much gratitude for all the love and support she’s been receiving. What did change is the level of care and the shift in philosophy from "management of symptoms" to hospice's "comfort and care." Marcy has said in quieter moments that they did this "none too soon” as her pain and discomfort at times has been quite challenging.
We’d like to start a fund to help Scottie and Marcy cover the many costs of dealing with a long-term illness. If you’d like to help in this way, to help cover costs of care and living expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount helps and all donations will go directly to Scottie and Marcy.
Scottie cannot stress, or express enough, the amount of gratitude for all of the time and love everyone has been sharing with them in this new and trying phase of life. She has shared “I could not do this without the canopy of your angel wings that shelters us both. I love you.”
During this time we are also asking that everyone come together to send light, love and comfort to both of them. Please join us daily at 7am, noon and 7pm (PST) to silently send blessings and offer prayers, as we join together to hold Marcy in the sacred space of our hearts. She is incredibly loved and has touched all of our lives in the sweetest, most tender and loving ways. We love you, Marcy.
