You’ve seen countless “Go Fund Me” messages out there, many for great causes, so why is this one different?
This one is for people who would never ask for help. For a family that is constantly giving to others. For a woman who would rather work her fingers to the bone than ask for support. For a man who needs to know that his illness hasn't decreased his value as a human being. The Siermachesky's are a rare breed of people in today's world.
Many of you know the struggles Loree and Randy have faced, but it seems to just keep piling on. This family has never asked for help, just figures out a way to work harder. Both Randy and Loree rise above in ways that are truly incredible.
Randy was diagnosed with progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2014 and the disease has been particularly aggressive in his instance. The disease is showing little signs of a plateau or some stabilization. After first being denied, he's been accepted into an experimental treatment plan in San Diego involving stem cells. While this treatment isn't a cure, it could slow the effects that MS has so cruelly took so much, so fast, away.
Their hope is this procedure will give Randy some quality of life, reduce his pain, and ease the debilitating progression of this disease. Treatment is expensive and knowing Loree she'll find a way to make the $25, 000 needed and work herself to death in the process.
I want to let both Randy and Loree know there are people who care. There are people who will help. That we can ease the financial burden facing their family. And most importantly, they are not alone in this. Time is of the essence. They leave for San Diego on the 19th of February.
