Love for Loraine & Her Farm ~ Help Get Her Wheels

My dear friend Loraine needs our help to get a vehicle to keep herself, her horses, and all the animals on the farm taken care of. Unfortunately our Michigan roads, and all the salt it takes to keep them clear through the icy months, destroys vehicles over time. It breaks down the underneath of the frame, and recently Loraine experienced this as her vehicle broke in two while driving. She is physically okay from the accident, but is in desperate need to get another vehicle for her survival. I know she has been very concerned how she will make it through this winter, as well be able to tend to her farm without one.

She is an older women living alone in the woods of Michigan. She needs to have transportation to get supplies, and take care of daily necessities for herself and her farm. Recently Loraine lost her sister, and in the past few years her mother, leaving her completely alone besides her horses and the other farm animals, including a turkey that loves to cuddle.  I know I had never heard of such a thing either, but visiting the farm brought a lot of delightful surprises. Loraine and her animals are indeed unique loving individuals.

The winter has already set in here, and she is struggling to manage the farm without a vehicle through these harsh cold temperatures.  With many more months ahead of such. Without transportation she is unable to move food around on the farm for the animals, get into town for supplies, or be able work.

Loraine is a strong hardworking independent woman, full of wisdom to share, with a big heart always willing to help others. She has given me a place to land, many a time, throughout my travels.  As much as she gives, I know she would never ask for help, so I am doing this for her because we all need a hand sometimes. Beyond all that is takes to manage a farm, she also works as a Realtor, Mtn Wildfire Fighter, Animal Groomer, Photographer,  and was a Trucker in the past, but without a vehicle she is basically trapped on her land unable to work for, and provide all that she and the farm needs.

Please help us warm her heart, and keep her safe through the winter, by donating and helping raise the funding to get her a vehicle, or at least a down payment. As she says, "I'm not looking for 'new', but something that will last until my last day." Please help show Loraine that she is not so alone in this world. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference in the life of Loraine, her horses, and all the animals that dwell on the farm!
