Dear friends and family,
Heaven has gained an angel. On Jan 2nd, 2021 we lost our hero, Violeta Balbin (lola), to covid. I never imagined it would affect my family. We hope that no family has to lose their loved one like this. She was a fighter and fought very hard to the end. Although we want her to be here, it comforts us to know that she is in peace watching over us.
Our family is deeply saddened by her unexpected passing, but we will carry her legacy on forever. She created a big family of 4 sons, daughters in law, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Her love and sacrifice had no boundaries. She immigrated from the Philippines to the US in search of a better life for herself and her children- achieving that was her greatest joy. Every choice she made was for us. All the privileges and opportunities we have is because she made way for them all on her own. We wouldn't be here today without her. She was incredibly proud of the life she lived and loved to tell her story; a devoted mother, caring grandmother, teacher of the catholic community, healthcare worker, and a wonderful friend. Most of all, the heart of our family. We will miss her every day.
In her honor, we wish to give her a memorial she deserves. We created this page to help support our family cover the medical expenses and funeral costs during this difficult time. Anything helps, no amount is too small. Your contribution would mean a lot to us, but your kindness means the most.
