Love for Libby: Care for Casey and Marina's Baby

This is the most horrific nightmare for any family. My brother Casey and his wife Marina's beautiful baby girl Libby was born with a profound brain abnormality which carries a life-limiting prognosis. She spent 46 days in the NICU, and already had multiple overnight hospital stays to treat her seizures and other complications. Because they have been caring for Libby, Casey and Marina lost their jobs. They are full-time caretakers with no nursing support. Despite continually applying for government aid, they receive no financial assistance.

Libby likely won’t be able to walk, talk, or sit up unsupported. This has taken a catastrophic toll physically, emotionally, and financially on this new family. Libby is Casey and Marina's first and only child and they face a long and difficult road ahead together.
