Love for JoJo

Donation protected
Joanna is a friend of mine and an absolute LOVE, She was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, invasive ductal to be specific. Her chemotherapy will begin next week. She has a long rode ahead of her including chemotherapy, a mastectomy, radiation and immunotherapy treatments. Joanna informed me that her treatment will take at least two years and will be extremely debilitating for at least one year of that time. She will not be able to work as a nurse, and will probably spend much of her days fighting nausea, pain, and fatigue. Understandably she is very concerned about the effect this illness will have on her family. She has two beautiful teenage daughters that are at a season in life where they really need their mother. Her husband lost his own mother to breast cancer many years ago. Even with good insurance cancer is very costly and financial stress is the last thing people need when they are fighting for their lives.

About two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer called Hodgkin's s Lymphoma. I was 23 at the time and it was frightening for me and my family. By the Grace of God, I was showered with an abundance of prayers and support from people some whom I'd never met before. This meant so much to me and my family. I want Joanna and her family to receive the same love and support that I did, because it makes all the difference in the world.

Our dear Joanna, a beloved wife, mother, clergy wife/daughter, and hospice nurse, was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer. She will begin receiving chemotherapy within the next week or two and, eventually, she will undergo a masectomy and prolonged immunotherapy treatments. Because Joanna will be unable to work during her treatment, we are collecting funds to aid Joanna and her family during this difficult time. Our goal is to relieve Joanna and her family of financial stress so she can focus on her recovery.

This page will be updated regularly with updates on Joanna's health. Let's shower her with love and support! We love you JoJo!!

Donations will be collected by Joanna's husband, Eric Townsend.  Please keep the Townsend family in your prayers.
