Love for Erick

Thank you for taking the time to listen and for your compassion.
My little brother Erick is currently in the ICU, and the heart failure he has been living with for the last two years has developed into a very serious heart and lung condition. Each day we are learning more about how his body responds to treatments and medications, but what we do know is that a heart transplant is his inevitable/ultimate need, and that the trajectory of his life has now been altered quite significantly.
I am hoping to be able to facilitate him qualifying for disability benefits and increased medical coverage within the next two to four months (wish us luck!). But in the mean time, any amount of monetary support you can offer toward our goal will assist in maintaining housing, medical costs, in-home care, transportation and much needed advocacy during these next several months until we have a foundation in place for his Erick's long-term sustainability.
(For those of you who are co-workers of my mother Kelly Hayes, we are also attempting to work with the VA Human Resources department to see how coworkers can potentially donate some of their vacation/sick time hours to her account, as she has now spent three weeks by his side. We will post an update once/if we figure this out!)
Thank you for the love and support beautiful people!
xx Sarah
