Love For Dakota Hunter

It is with the deepest sadness and greatest sorrow that we announce the passing of the beloved son, brother and uncle, Dakota Alan Hunter. The circumstances surrounding his passing were sudden and tragic and as you may imagine the entire family is devastated with this loss and are in the process of grieving.

Recently, Dakota expressed a strong desire to spend his life helping others. This passion is a true testament to the kind and gentle heart that Dakota brought to the world. He was never short on love for others in his willingness to be there for those in need.

In an effort to honor his dream of helping others, the family has decided to donate his organs to those in the greatest need. It has been estimated that this gift will save and/or improve the lives of over 50 people.

To accomplish this courageous act, Dakota has been left on life support to preserve every opportunity for him to help others. This decision, coupled with the immense medical care he has received has resulted in astronomical expenses too heavy for this family to bear alone. The emergency helicopter transport alone will reach into the tens of thousands of dollars.

We are asking for your generous support in relieving this family of just a small portion of the weight they now carry with this tragedy. Our goal is to assist in the medical expenses and final burial costs for Dakota.

Dakota's father, Robert, and the entire family are committed to helping others as well with their own efforts. A fund in Dakota's name will be established to assist those families struggling with depression. Any and all funds collected in this specific effort that surpass the target goal of $75,000 will be donated to this fund.

My chosen son. All your life I have great expectations of you. You never disappointed me you met and exceeded my dreams. All our moments of embrace, from the beginning to the current, will forever be in my soul. You never let me down and so I shall always hold you up. You always fill others with not just happiness but true heart felt JOY. This is a inner feeling oh so rare.

From the first moment I held you I knew I would never be able nor want to let you down. You I gave a name which you carry with pride. We have been through so much from the highest summit of happiness to the deepest depth of sadness.

Thoughts of you and us will always bring tears and smiles. Forever in my heart you will be. I thank my lord and savior GOD for the grace he gave me to have you, (Dakota Alan Hunter) to be in my life and my son. I will follow you to heaven when my time is chosen.
