Updated: September 5th - CT scan and EEG have both come back clear. Below is an update from Terry. ❤️
New update: We saw the doctor today and nothing is new. The next step is to take me off the Valproic Acid and see if any small symptoms are side effects of the meds while we wait for my MRI referral to go through.
Essentially, more waiting.
We are looking at the possibility of renting a wheelchair for me and have a prescription for one, as I can't really walk much right now due to leg weakness and shakiness.
If the MRI shows negative we will potentially move to a Lumbar Puncture (spinal tap) next. But one step at a time.
I wish I had more to update with but right now, it feels like things aren't improving. Episodes are consistent, headaches are consistent, and weakness is getting worse.
So here's hoping the MRI is soon.

It's never easy watching someone you love go through a hard time. Terry and Larissa Stroud have been an incredibly important part of my life for over 12 years and thus I ask all of you to join me in lifting this family up as they walk a dark road.
A couple weeks ago, Terry called his wife Larissa in a confused panic. He didn't know what was happening, but he knew something wasn't right. A co-worker took him to the hospital and since then, their lives have become a big unknown. Terry is experiencing seizure-like episodes (for lack of a better term) of confusion, nausea, memory-loss, loss of fine motor skills, and trouble communicating. He is currently under the watchful eye of his wife, Larissa, unable to drive or work, while waiting to hear back from tests to see what is happening. Not knowing what the future holds is never easy. Not having an official diagnosis makes insurance and planning difficult. I invite you all to show this incredibly tenacious family some support during this difficult time. I know together we can help ease the burden that this kind of health crisis incurs.
