Love and Support for Byl, Roach & Jazz Carruthers

As I am sure you all know by now, we lost Byl Carruthers on May 1 2022. Byl was an amazing and supportive brother, father, husband and friend. He truly cared for those who touched his life, and he showed it by always being there for us all. There are no words to express our loss.

Family and friends have been incredibly supportive with tributes, love, stories and memories of their deep love for Byl. His friends span over 50 years and every single era of Byl's life has been given new life by all of you.

It's impossible to measure what we've lost. But we can all honor Byl's love, creativity, leadership, commitment and care by doing what we can for his family with this GoFundme page.

In addition to the loss of her life partner and husband, Roach has been dealing with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She was in the hospital at the time of Byl's death. Byl spoke many times over the last several months about Roach's strength, spirit and dedication to getting well. The timing of Byl's loss is unimaginable, but something we can all try to understand by being there for Roach and Jazz. Roach returns from the hospital this week; family and close friends will be in Santa Barbara to help with this transition, then treatment will continue. Let's all show our strong support for her and Jazz as they navigate the loss of Byl and the challenges of cancer.

We will be organizing a memorial get-together for Byl later this year, thank you all for inquiring about this. We simply need Roach to recuperate and get well first. We will post more information on the event we will plan. Yes, music will be a big part of this event, and we know you will all want to sing and play for Byl.
