Rally Around Dot To FIGHT Cancer!

First, let me start by saying Thank You for taking the time to read this. It has sadly come to a time where I need to reach out and ask for help for my Mom, Dot, in any way that I can. We've never been the type to ask for it, but, we've now come to a point where it's necessary.
For those that don't know my Mother's story, I can fill you in. In August 2015, my mother was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. There was hope that removing her kidney completely, would rid her body of cancer. She had her first scan in December 2015. Just before Christmas, her Oncologist told her that it had metastasized to her lungs.

In February of 2016, they removed a part of her right lung where the larger tumours were located, and left the smaller ones. They monitored her for over a year, finding no growth of those remaining tumours. We were blessed and thought she had this cancer right where we wanted it! 

This past summer, Mom has been having some speech interferences and strong headaches that were a cause for alarm. On July 27th, she was sent in for a stat MRI. The following morning, she got the call we were all dreading. It has now metastasized to her brain.

She was told to immediately go to her Drs down in Boston, where they ran some more involved tests, and found there to be a total of 10 tumours in her brain. They have devised a plan to use Stereotactic Radiosurgery. She will start treatment this Friday, August 3rd.

 Although it's amazing how quickly they can start her treatment,  this is where she needs your help the most! In order to have this procedure she needs to stay in Boston until next Friday. It is considered an outpatient surgery, therefore, she cannot be admitted into the hospital. She will have to stay at a hotel the whole entire week. Her medical bills are already astronomical, and I'm hoping to rally up those around her. To help her to continue to fight this battle, so that she can be with her grandbabies for a few more years.  My Mother has always been there for anyone, at any time, whenever they needed it. I've watched her over the past 35 years,  give herself selflessly to family and friends at their times of need.  Now, it's her turn,  to be on the receiving end. Help me,  to help her fight. She always told me.... It takes a village. Let's show her how true that is!
