Love All Ways: A Screening & Talk on LGBTQ+ Love

Typed Out  is an organization dedicated to expanding the boundaries of understanding and acceptance. Since our inception in May 2018, Typed Out has brought a new, collective voice to the scene—advocating for social change on all fronts and at all levels. Since then, we have conducted panels (hosted by RXR Realty), provided events, and launched a podcast all surrounding inclusion and the push to move beyond tolerance.

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, and while the movement has come so far, there is still so much to do. Therefore, in February, Typed Out has the honor of partnering with The Devotion Project  (featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network) to present Love All Ways, a Valentine's Day event centered on celebrating long-term love in the LGBTQ+ community. For one night only, we will be sharing four documentary portraits of couples whose love stories span decades, including one exceptional 54-year romance! Following the screening, there will be a panel-led discussion with filmmaker, Antony Osso, and the couples themselves to talk about the continued relevance of promoting Queer voices.

Included in these documentary portraits are Olympic Medalist (Montreal 1967) Gail Marquis and her partner, Audrey Smaltz, as well as acclaimed hairstylist Paul Labrecque and his husband, Brian Cantor. Since its release, the project has been translated into four languages, received 17 film festival awards, and screened worldwide.

Now, once again, we want to bring love into the limelight—but we need your help.

At present, we are looking for sponsors to help leverage costs or donate goods/services. Anything you donate will be directly used in the production of this special event, and you will receive sponsorship credit on all promotional and press material. In addition, sponsors will receive complimentary ad time on our podcast as well as any merchandise created for the event. But most importantly, you will help us kick off this monumental year in the history of Pride.

So, what do you say? Can we count you in?
