The Next 50!

50 More Years and More Seasons to Enjoy

Skiing? Yes!
Mountain biking? Hiking? Horseback riding?

When the new lodge is done, so much becomes possible!

For over sixty years Loup Loup Ski Bowl has been an affordable and welcoming ski hill for the people of North Central Washington. The Loup is one of only a handful of nonprofit ski areas nationwide. Our kids learn winter sports and an appreciation of the outdoors and community participation. The Loup keeps on humming through the work of a small dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and the support of you - the Loup family.

Throughout its life The Loup has served as a model of community-led recreation. In 1982 The Loup achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, which in turn has given all who love The Loup a little more responsibility for its future.

Loup Loup’s stakeholders hail from Omak, Pateros, Brewster, the Methow Valley, and beyond. Folks who grew up at The Loup are now skiing there with their grandchildren, and some with their great-grandchildren. It’s time to take the next step to ensure that our ski hill can serve our communities today and for generations to come. That’s where the Next 50 Campaign comes in.

The Campaign

The Next 50 Campaign will replace and expand Loup Loup’s facilities in order to meet community need and provide financial stability.

The Wolf Den Lodge structure was built over fifty years ago ... to last twenty years. The Lodge has served us well, but it's time for major upgrades. This campaign is making it all possible.

Our community’s needs have outgrown the existing structures at The Loup. The Next 50 Campaign will replace our existing lodge and upgrade our school, rental, and repair facilities.

With your help we can improve The Loup and ensure the sustainability of outdoor recreation for decades to come.

What your donation will do

·        Build a new lodge that is 50% larger, encompassing an improved restaurant, expanded seating and gathering places, and fireplace.

·        Expand and improve the rental, retail, and repair facility.

·        Improve the facilities of the ski school.

AND it will make other season uses of the mountain and surroundings possible!

All of these changes will help to build the financial stability of The Loup, ensuring its independence. Our plans are to remain loyal to the original spirit of the Loup: fun, functional, and affordable. It’s going to be even more fun and relaxing at the Loup!
