Louise Needs Us!

Louise was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2012 and put on a transplant list. Doctors advised that without Chemotherapy she would have 9 months to live, and although terribly scared, Louise had faith that she could overcome the disease with a holistic approach and prayer. Miraculously, the tumors started to shrink.  Today, 6 years later,  a small tumor remains which the doctors are watching closely.
When diagnosed, Louise received only partial medicaid, requiring her to pay $1000.00 monthly out of pocket. The stress of this new monetary burden was great, both emotionally and financially. Bills and overdue notices piled up, and every month was a struggle. Louise’s fears of repossession and foreclosure grew more and more real as collection agency calls and notices started to come in, followed by legal troubles with an unscrupulous homeowners association. Running out of options, unable to continue to afford her attorney, completely drained from fighting for her health and her home, Louise was forced to file Chapter 13 and has been desperately seeking a pro bono attorney to help her keep her home.
Louise needs us, a little help so she can catch up on her bills, pay for groceries, repair her car, fight for her home, and continue to work with doctors to monitor her cancer.
