My beautiful sister Louise has recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer and has been told that it’s terminal.

Louise had been going to her Doctor’s since November 2019 due to ongoing personal problems which were repeatedly dismissed. In August 2020 Louise started to take what were suspected to be mini strokes, however, upon investigation doctors believe these to be seizures. Due to this Louise received various scans and appointments where she was eventually told she had cervical cancer. The doctors at this point were very positive about the treatment they were going to provide and were hopeful that this would help reduce the size if not completely remove the tumour.

On 18th October Louise suffered 6 seizures and was taken to St. John’s Hospital for monitoring and treatment and underwent three blood transfusions in 48 hours.  On Thurs 22nd October the oncology department asked St. John’s staff to pass on the devastating news to Louise that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and abdomen and was now incurable.  Louise got home on Sat 24th October, however, at a later appointment, a few days later, she was admitted to The Western General Hospital to receive further blood transfusions and to start a 10 day radiotherapy treatment the following day.  This is to try to prolong her life however we are still waiting to see if this will help.

Louise is married to John and they have three handsome boys, Connor (16 years old), Aaron (13 years old) and Blair (9 years old).

Louise is currently in hospital as she is too ill to work and John isn’t working so that he can look after the boys and to care for Louise when she gets home.

Louise is an amazing, friendly,  bubbly person with an infectious laugh who would give you her last penny.

This is such a difficult and heart breaking time for our family so any donations, would go a long way to help my sister, John and the boys financially.  In such a terrible time, it’s one less burden knowing the bills are paid and they can just focus on spending what time they have left with Louise.
