Little Louie and His Family Need Your Help


Our Little Louie was born with a major heart defect, Truncus Arteriosus which was antenatally diagnosed.

When Louie arrived more than 5 weeks early it was much worse than anticipated, he had numerous issues including, hydrocephalus
(fluid on the brain), under developed jaw and nose, floppy airways, anaemia and later found out he had chromosomes missing.

Louie’s kidneys shut down at 4 days old and
had to have major emergency heart surgery,
the family were told to expect the worst.

Against all the odds, this little fighter pulled
through.

Louie is nothing short of a miracle and trumps anything thrown at him, including 3 bouts or brain surgery recently having to drain fluid from his brain.

At 4 months old Louie got to go home with
his family, but has been re admitted
numerous times with even more open heart
emergency surgeries.

Brooke, is my Niece and Louie’s Mum.
She cannot work due to Louie’s high care.
George is Louie’s Dad and does work but it just isn’t enough, they also have 2 other children and they are struggling to get by.

With Numerous appointments every week, parking, petrol and then the medication for Louie, they are finding it hard financially to also keep up with bills and put food on the table for their children.

We as a family have all banded together and helped as much as we can, but we need even more help.

Louie has a long road still ahead of him, he’s still unable to do anything more than a 3 month old can, and has a feeding tube for a full oral aversion.

Life hasn’t been easy for them but they always only focus and tell people the positive of what is going on, never the other side, so I’ve decided to reach out for help on their behalf.
