My name is Loucie this go fund me is help with my medical expenses. I am a young adult that was full of life and hope of a future filled with success, love, and dreams to have a family. Unfortunately all of that came to a screeching halt when I was diagnosed with stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma after undergoing a myomectomy in 2016. Leiomyosarcoma is an aggressive soft tissue cancer with no cure. To control the tumors from growing, I undergo extensive chemotherapy several times a month.
The side effects from chemotherapy are very severe and unpredictable. On a regular basis, I experience extreme pain in my bones and muscles that can only be subdued by powerful prescription painkillers. The type of chemo that I go through causes excessive fatigue, nausea and confusion. I used to be very active with both outdoor and indoor activities and a super outgoing person before I was diagnosed with cancer. The diagnosis changed all that because everything I do revolves around how I feel and what I can handle.

Although I’ve been able to keep my job, due to the pain, fatigue, nauseous and confusion I only work 2 days a week. I have a lot of stress and anxiety because the unpredictable side effects and number of hospital visits have cost me to utilize all of my vacation and sick time. And I no longer have full time benefits. As a result I do not receive income from any further time off from work and I pay for my healthcare insurance out of pocket. This makes it difficult to decide between paying either my medical expenses or my other bills and responsibilities. After my insurance I still have fees due for every chemo treatment and co pays for my other procedures, medications, and emergencies. My balances have accumulated to amounts that I cannot keep up with and pay down.
My mother is my biggest blessing. She takes time off from work as well to be by my side to help and has never missed a surgery or treatment. But It breaks my heart and makes me feel like a burden to see how the stress of this cancer weigh so heavily on her. She also does the best she can to help with some of the expenses but it is difficult for her as too. I should be the one taking care of her at this age and wish I can relieve her of this hardship.

Although this diagnose has made a lot of my dreams to be happy, successful and have a family of my own unrealistic, I am thankful to be still alive. Your donations will help me pay my medical expenses and balances. If I reach my goal I will have funds to utilize for future treatments, medications, procedures and emergencies. This will relieve a lot of anxiety so I can focus on my health and not stress about what happens if I miss too many work days. Thank you so much for any donations made.
