Buddy’s operation fundraiser

This fundraiser is something I would never normally want to do.
I am only creating this for those that really do want to help out. Please know we have no expectations from any of you, please only give if you really want and have the means.
With what’s going on in the world right now I understand funds for many are very tight.
Everyone Meet Buddy.
He is 12 weeks old, and I had him when he was 8 weeks as a surprise birthday present from my partner and sister.
From the very moment we had him he was always quiet. On the 3rd day of being home with us, we took him to the emergency vets, as he was wobbling, not able to stand properly and falling over, his energy levels overall were not normal for a puppy of his age.
We knew something was very wrong.
Several more vet visits later and plenty of tears, today he was diagnosed with a liver shunt.
A portosystemic shunt (PSS) or liver shunt is a disorder where the normal flow of blood, to and through the liver, is markedly reduced or even absent.
Normally, blood returning from the puppy's digestive tract is routed to the liver through the portal vein.
The blood flows through the liver and then exits the liver joining the venous blood flowing back to the heart.
A liver shunt is a blood vessel that connects the portal vein with the main systemic blood stream. This causes the blood to bypass the liver.
This means the artery that takes blood and all the toxins in it, is not connected to his liver.
We have spoken lots to Buddy’s vet who suggested an operation that can fix this for him. Of course we decided that we will go ahead with the operation, as the success rate is very high and he will be happy and healthy afterwards.
This operation has been quoted £6,000 with the CT scan also.
I learnt a lesson, that time does not matter when you love something/someone. I fell in love with him the day I met him. And will do anything to look after him.
