Creative Team Designs Tour for Loss

Liv Schaffer (Choreographer) & Andrea Bell (Illustrator) are touring to Boston!
Long time childhood friends, Liv & Andrea find their crafts and careers mirroring one another's at the intersection of empathy and loss. Help fund these two creatives share their work on the East Coast!
Liv has been invited to facilitate dance classes that guide participants to reflect creatively on death & dying at Boston University, The Dance Complex and Death Salon Boston. These classes range from beginner to professional level, all researching the marriage between movement & mortality. Check out her curriculum for the class turned dance film below!
Andrea and Liv will be vendors at Death Salon Marketplace, selling goods such as original comics, pins, and paintings featuring Andrea's Still Waiting; a collection of comics and writings dissecting the healing process of loss. Check out some of Andrea's work below!
Death Salon is the event arm of The Order of the Good Death , and part of the larger Death Positive Movement . Follow #DeathSalonBoston to tune into the event electronically!
Your help with funding will be used for the following during tour dates in September & October 2018:
- Travel costs for Artists
- Food & Lodging costs for Artists
- Vendor Fee & Studio Rental
A note from the Artists:
We believe that beyond funding the financial logistics of our tour, you are supporting artists who have chosen to utilize creative process as a method for healing, growth, and connecting to others. Our work is deeply personal, yet expansive in its relevancy. We seek to promote artistic engineering within the death & medical fields, and we seek to do so by sharing our work, inviting participants, and starting dialogue with local and national communities. Your help would mean an immense amount to us, not only to support the continuation of our individual passions turned careers, but as belief that the arts & humanities offer rich insight for the living and dying.
