Hello everyone!

My name’s Loïs, I’m a French Irish dancer ever since I was little girl. I’ve done many show with artists I admire and had the opportunity to participate in huge events such as dancing with the Students’ Orchestra of Caen, or even with the internationally known band Doolin. I’ve always been in love with the feeling of performing on stage, sharing such precious and magical moments with my dance mates, the musicians and the audience. There is nothing I cherish more than being on stage and smiling to the audience, sharing this beautiful moment.

To realize my dream that is to become a professional Irish dancer, and get what is my passion to a full-time job, I will be undertaking a BA in performing arts at the wonderful university that is the University of Limerick in Ireland for 4 years! There I will be able to extend my abilities and performance to explore and refine my Irish dance’s style to a whole new level, but also discover new types of dancing such as contemporary dancing or even aerial dancing, and many more. I am beyond excited!

• Then, why do I need this money ?

These studies, as wonderful as they are, require a very large and heavy financial investment.

- The studies themselves cost about 7000€ per year

- I will be living in the campus there, and it costs about 5000€ per year as well

- As I live in France, I will have to finance my travels as well to come back a few times in the year

- I also have to take into account my sport equipment - jig shoes, soft shoes, training shoes, show costumes... -

- the major needs there (food for instance)

My parents will contribute to the financing, but I will have to borrow a large amount of money from my bank. To try to reduce the costs, I have applied to many organisations and structures to obtain grants, but this course is not part of the Erasmus programme and unfortunately I have only managed to obtain very limited aid (CROUS, PassMonde).

That is why I am asking your everyone’s help here! Every donation, even little, is very welcome and appreciated to help me fulfill my dream and let me live my life to the fullest there!

Bonjour à tous!

Je m’appelle Loïs, et je pratique la danse irlandaise depuis ma plus tendre enfance. J’ai pu danser dans de nombreux spectacles avec des artistes que j’admire et j’ai eu l’opportunité de participer à des évènements incroyables, comme par exemple danser en compagnie de l’Orchestre philharmonique de Caen, ou encore avec le groupe de renommée internationale Doolin.

J’ai toujours adoré ce sentiment de danser et performer sur scène, partageant ces moments si précieux et magiques avec ma troupe de danse, les musiciens et le public. Il n’y a rien que je chéris davantage que de monter sur scène et partager ce moment si incroyable avec le public.

Pour réaliser mon rêve : devenir danseuse professionnelle, et faire de ce qui est ma passion un métier à plein temps, je vais suivre un Bachelor en « Performing Arts » dans la merveilleuse Université qu’est l’Université de Limerick en Irlande pendant 4 ans ! Là-bas, je pourrai développer mes capacités et mes performances pour explorer et affiner mon style de danse irlandaise à un tout autre niveau, mais aussi découvrir de nouveaux types de danse comme la danse contemporaine, la danse aérienne, et bien d'autres encore. Je suis on ne peut plus heureuse!

• Alors, pourquoi ai-je besoin de cet argent ?

Ces études, aussi passionnantes soient-elles, nécessitent un investissement financier très important.

- Les études en elles-mêmes coûtent environ 7000€ par an.

- Je logerai dans le campus, et cela me coûtera également environ 5000€ par an.

- Comme je vis en France, je devrai également financer mes voyages pour revenir plusieurs fois dans l'année.

- Je dois aussi prendre en compte mon équipement sportif - claquettes, softs, chaussures d'entraînement, costumes de spectacle... -

- les besoins importants sur place (comme la nourriture)

Mes parents participeront au financement, mais je devrai emprunter une somme importante à ma banque. Pour tenter de réduire les coûts, j'ai sollicité de nombreux organismes et structures pour obtenir des bourses, mais cette formation ne fait pas partie du programme Erasmus et je n'ai malheureusement réussi à obtenir que des aides très limitées (CROUS, PassMonde).

C'est pourquoi je sollicite votre aide ! Chaque don, même le plus infime

, sera le bienvenu et apprécié pour m'aider à réaliser mon rêve et me permettre de vivre pleinement ma vie là-bas!
