My dear friends Lana and Lee recently moved across the country to begin a new chapter as farmers. They tragically lost their barn and livestock in a fire this week. Please see their post below which I took from Facebook and consider helping them if you have the means…

”On Sunday night Lee and I looked up from our TV to find our beautiful historic barn engulfed in flames- why or how we will never know. Inside were our beloved animals- 2 horses that had won our hearts, as had our sows that that delivered piglets not a week before. Some hilarious quirky ducks and some wee quail. Endless supplies we were storing for spring. The wind direction was thankfully as it was or we would have lost our flock of 50 sheep including 45 ewes. We are finding our feet underneath us thanks to people who have walked alongside us. The loss of the barn is immense but the animals is next level.”

They have insurance but the maximum allowed is only a fraction of what was lost.
