Lorrie's Fight

You can never prepare yourself to hear those words "You have cancer" These words became a reality to our mom, Lorrie, back in March of this year when she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Within a week of her finding out this horrific news she underwent surgery to have her right breast removed as well as three lymph nodes.
The road ahead looked very scary but mom was determined to fight for her life. She started her first treatment of chemotherapy April 20th with seven treatments to follow. She will receive her last treatment July 27th!!! Come the fall she will begin the next phase of her treatment. Mom will undergo twenty-five rounds of radiation over a five week period. She will then be able to discuss reconstructive surgery in the months to follow.
We decided to start this campaign for many reasons. Starting early september, mom will be placed on Long-Term Disability which means a significantly lower wage than what she was originally bringing home if working.
Another reason for starting this campagne is because many people who want to help mom have asked how to donate personally.
Any money raised will go directly towards helping mom financially until she returns to work. We appreciate all the love and support we have received and going forward.
