Lorraine's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On August 13, Lorraine suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke affecting the right side of her brain. Subsequently, she required a lifesaving hemi craniotomy in which they removed part of her skull to allow the brain to swell without causing any more damage.  Following this surgery, she remained in the ICU in an induced coma.  For the next three days, she was in critical condition, yet remained stable and was able to show minor improvements.  She was then transferred to RCU (Respiratory Care Unit), where she began to open both of her eyes and response through nods of her head. In RCU, she underwent a tracheotomy, which created a surgical airway in the cervical trachea. This helped her breathing, but after a few days, she was breathing on her own.

Throughout her time in RCU, she received physical therapy, but needed more rigorous sessions in order to heal.  Lorraine was transferred to an amazing rehabilitation hospital where she is currently receiving intensive therapy. Each day she gets a little better and is  responding well to her daily exercises.

Lorraine continues to show  improvements and we are hopeful for her recovery.

Billy and the girls are working hard to cover the costs of the current and incoming hospital bills, but would appreciate any help they can get.  Any donation or prayers would be appreciated. Please share this page with family and friends.
