Lorie Kurelic's Medical Expenses

My name is Stephanie Young. I am one of Lorie's good friends. Lorie and I graduated from nursing school together in 2016. I'm sharing her tragic story to help her get back home to Columbus, Ohio to be able to fight this long battle she has ahead of her with her family and friends close by. Lorie Emmert Kurelic, age 43, has three children, Kerigan 16, Jackson 13, Ryder 8 and a amazing husband, Shane. What was suppose to be her last day of vacation in the Outter Banks, North Carolina turned out to be her worst nightmare. On August 12th, 2017 Lorie was life flighted to Vident Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. She underwent emergency surgery due to a massive stroke.  At this point in time she suffers from permenant brain damage and is unable to talk, walk, or express her emotions. Many of her loved ones have been by her side since this tragic situation took place over 550 miles from home. At this point her recovery is critical and the outcome is not looking the best. I'm trying to raise money to be able to get her home during this tragic time. She requires medical transportation which her insurance is only able to cover the cost to the borderline of North Carolina. The rest of the way to Ohio becomes the families responsibility. As we all know this is very expensive.  The money is also to help out in this unfortunate situation due to the loss of Lorie's income as a Hospice Nurse with Hospice of Central Ohio and also the expenses of hotels, food, ect since this event took place in Greenville, Nouth Carolina. Continued prayers and support is much needed. Anything helps at this point. She deserves to be able to fight this battle close to home with her loved ones close by.Thank you for all your love and support. Please continue to pray.
