Lori Larsen & Sterling Dunn

On the afternoon of Friday, July 7th, a torrential storm brought over 3” of rain to Yarmouthport, MA . My sister Lori Larsen & her partner Sterling Dunn’s lovely old sea captain’s home on Main St. suffered significant structural damage. A large part of the front foundation caved in causing incredible mud and water destruction. They learned on July 24th that the home owner’s insurance policy has denied coverage for expenses to remedy the devastation. Lori & Sterling have already incurred expenses in clean up efforts and anticipate having to pay out-of-pocket to replace the damaged foundation and all that entails.

Lori & Sterling’s home is where their heart is and while they continue to live there, their home is in jeopardy, vulnerable to additional damage until they can begin to have the damage repaired. Without compensation from home owner’s insurance, it will be extremely expensive and time consuming.
