Lorena Brain Aneurysm Survivor!
Sunday, August 13th briefly after waking up, Lorena was experiencing a severe head ache along with nausea. Things got worse as she said it turned into the most excruciating pain she's ever felt in her life. The night before, she had felt the same symptoms but by the next morning, the symptoms were considerably more intense. She was immediately taken to the Texas Health Presbyterian ER center in Denton. After a CAT scan, doctors told her that if she had taken any medicine to help with the head ache she may not have been lucky enough to wake up and make it to the hospital. This was because she was suffering a brain aneurysm. She was quickly put in a helicopter and care flighted to the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas for an immediate brain surgery. After surgery, Lorena- beating the odds, was put in Intensive Care and is going through treatment. The doctors say she is making a good recovery so far but she's not out of the woods yet.
Lorena has been given instructions from her doctor to not go back to work until she's healed. This gofundme account is to help her cover all of the many medical expenses that her health insurance will not pay for. Domingo, 13 de Agosto un poco después de despertar Lorena empezó a sentir un gran dolor de cabeza junto con nausea. Un poco más tarde el dolor empeoró, ella lo describe como el peor dolor que ha sentido en su vida. La noche anterior ella avía sentido los mismos dolores pero no tan intensos como en esa mañana. Inmediatamente fue llevada al hospital Texas Health Presbyterian ER center en Denton para ver lo que lo estaba causando. Después de una tomografía los doctores le dijieron que si ella fuera a aver tomado medicina para ayudarle con su dolor de cabeza la noche anterior era muy probable que ella no hubiera haber tendido la suerte de despertar ese día dado a que estaba sufriendo de un aneurisma cerebral. Lorena fue puesta inmediatamente en helicóptero para ser transladada a Texas Health Presbyterian hospital en Dallas y tener cirugía cerebral de emergencia. Después de la cirugía Lorena fue internada en hospital en la unidad de cuidado intensivo. Hay se le dio tratamiento para asegurarse que su cerebro estaba estable. Los doctores le mencionan que está teniendo una muy buena recuperación pero aún no está al 100% que todo va a estar bien.
