Keep Lopez Family Together

Donation protected
This fund has been set up to raise money, for Carlos' permanent residency application and associated legal fees.

Carlos Lopez Guzman first left his home in Vera Cruz, Mexico to do seasonal carnival work in the United States on a H2-B visa in 2011. In 2014 while working in Woodhaven, MI he met my best friend Anjelica. By spring 2016 they were engaged, and married in August of that year. Thay soon had  a happy little family with their two daughters Daniela and Leelynn.

Shortly after marrying Carlos' H2-B visa expired leaving him "out of status". Despite being the spouse of a US citizen the process of requesting adjustment of status which would give him permanent residency is lengthy. This means that while he case winds its way through layers of bureucracy, Carlos is in a sort of immigration limbo.

Their oldest daughter Leelynn has a hereditary blood disorder (among other medical problems) that require frequent doctor's appointments and treatments. This along with various family commitments, mean that Anjelica is unable to work. Leaving Carlos as the sole source of income. As this process has drawn out longer than expected this has left a considerable financial strain on them.
