I write this with a heavy heart and I am finding words hard to come by.

Our dear heart, Lonny, has passed on to what I hope is her next adventure.

I am organising a celebration of life event on 13th April at Hanover Community Center. This will be a chance for us to come together as a community and share words and hugs, finding comfort in ceremony and celebration.

While this event may be sorrowful, my hope is that we can bring light by sharing stories that bring smiles to our faces and even some belly laughs, which I know she would wholeheartedly approve of, if not insist upon.

My intention is to bring together as much of her art as possible. She found joy in knowing there were many pieces scattered about the homes of people she has gifted them to, and I think bringing as much of it together as possible would be a wonderful way to celebrate her generosity and creativity.

If you have any of her art pieces you would like to share on the day, please get in touch. We may be able to arrange assistance with transport if needed.

Lonny hated flowers so please don't bring any. In her words, ‘Why would I want to watch something beautiful dry up and get dusty?’ Her art will make the space beautiful and that money can help others in need, something Lonny was passionate about doing.

The amount needed to cover the cost of the event is lower than the amount stated; I chose this number to represent her birth date. I hope we can reach this goal and donate what’s left to a worthy cause. With that in mind I have chosen a local charity, Family Support Work, who help families overcome their difficulties and prevent crises.
