1200 Miles : 20 days : Cape Town to Durban
Running Comrades Marathon every day for 20 days
In May I'll be joining a small team of 6 runners from the UK and Africa in the ultimate test of physical abilities.
We'll be running 58 miles/ 90kilometers a day for 19 days from Cape town to Durban, South Africa. On the 20th day we'll run Comrades Marathon , the worlds oldest and most popular ultramarathon .
We'll have a small documentary team with us shooting the ins and outs, highs and lows of the entire journey.
I'm an average guy who just likes running. I've run ultramarathons, stage races, expeditions, and logged 10's of thousands of miles in over 40 countries on 7 continents. Experience aside, this will be a unlike anything I've ever done.
So why do it? I see the human body and the spirit within as the last great uncharted territory. The next generation of explorers are searching the depths and abilities of the spirit. What are it's limits, and once you reach those limits, how much farther can it truly go? Let's find out.

Would Edmund Hilary ever have climbed the Everest Summit or Amundsen ever reached the south pole without the support of their team?

Our Non-profit partner is Children of the Dawn . A portion of every dollar you give goes directly to seeing lives changed for children in need all over South Africa.
