Long Term Care for Becky

On October 27  the love of my life, Becky, suffered a stroke following a diagnostic cerebral angiogram. In her third week of recovery she suffered a brain hemorrhage, followed by a near life ending 2nd brain hemorrhage one week later, the day after Thanksgiving.  The life saving procedure involved shutting off a vessel in her cerebellum subsequently causing another stroke.  This has all resulted in the paralysis of her right side and diminished use of her left.
    Becky's treatment will require long term Occupational, Physical, and Speech and Swallow Therapy. She will be confined to a wheelchair, require a hospital bed, and need 24 hour care. Insurance covers the equipment, but does not cover the needed care giver services. Even with all the loving support from family and friends she will still need care giver services.   
    Donations will be used to cover these extraordinary expenses and to make Becky as comfortable as possible.
I have chosen not to post a photo of Becky in her current condition, but how I still see her.  I know her friends still see her this way and I would encourage all to continue to come visit her as her smile is still as infectious as ever.
