Long shot at life

Everyone has a dream of what they want to do when they get older. I dreamt that I would marry a man who loves me. After a couple wrong men and a couple kids, I thought I found him. He turned out to be mine and my boys' biggest nightmare. He didn't show his teeth until I was in love and pregnant with his daughter. He was mentally and physically abusive to me and my boy's on a regular basis. He came home from work one day and threw a framing hammer at me. It hit me in the face breaking 5 out of 6 bones in my face. Another time he picked me up off the floor by the neck while I was helping my kids brush their teeth. Things like this and worse went on for two years. The cops had been notified and knew what was going on in my home. Before you know it social services is leaving with my kids. My un-ability to grow a backbone had gotten my kids thrown into the foster care system. I now had a huge list of things to do to get them back. One thing was to get away from the monster. It took a while, but I was able to get away.
 Not too long after I met my now-husband. A man who has never in 3 years even raised his voice at me. I didn't know such a man existed. It has been a huge mental and financial battle for us. I've had to take multiple classes and therapy sessions in an effort to get my kids back. All the while child support has been adding up. All I was to do is pay my child support debt and come up with enough money  for my husband and I to get a place big enough for my children. Without a home big enough, they can never come back to live with me. It rips my heart out everyday I'm not with them.
